It is free software for all Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems. This popular tiny freeware is used to split and recombine files. Sharing large files has always been a problem, but HJSplit helps solve this problem, letting you easily split files into smaller files.......

It is a simple and easy-to-use tiny program which can split any file you like into parts of a predefined size, so that sharing them or storing them is made easier. It can also join split files back together and compare parts to see if they're the same. You can also use it for backing up large files and spate them on discrete storage media.

This freeware doesn’t need to be installed; it works as a portable program on all platforms. It consists only of an .exe file, so it can be run from a USB storage media or CD-ROM. The program lets you choose the size of the parts you wish to separate the big file into, this is a good option to suit you storage of these parts.

The parts generated has the extensions: 001, 002 … and when you want to recombine the parts you only chose the first part and the job is done (this is if the parts are in the same place: folder, if not you will have to guide the program to each part).  Overall, the application is tiny, portable and easy-to –use with no complexity; and it does the job perfectly.
